VISION
We dream of a healthier, happier,
more prosperous Guatemala.

We’re Raising Tilapias!
With the support of our partners The Wonderment Cooperative, our tenth-grade students pitched and launched a sustainable Tilapia Project — the first step in an ambitious ecosystem. The plan? To create a model where tilapia, gardens, and eventually greenhouses work together — a vision that could one day be replicated in schools and communities beyond our own.

Lights Under the Arch
On April 4th, our school lit up during Meso’s Got Talent. But for some of our students,
the stage didn’t end there. Thanks to a beautiful partnership with the French Alliance of
La Antigua, they were invited to share their talents at Fête de la Musique —the renowned French festival brought to life in the streets of Antigua Guatemala.
On May 17th, under the iconic Santa Catalina Arch, our students sang, played, and
performed with passion and confidence, captivating a public audience beyond our campus.

A Visit to Remember
When our partners from Redmond traveled to Guatemala, we knew we were welcoming supporters. We didn’t realize how meaningful those moments would become. Our journey began with laughter and heartfelt conversations with our scholarship families — including unforgettable moments when sponsors met the very students they’ve supported from afar.
Later, our students welcomed Redmond to our school with the music of the marimba (some last-minute dancers even joined in!), shared their Tilapia Project, and took part in a speed Q&A circle with our seniors. As we shared a meal in the very cafeteria our students enjoy each day, we didn’t just talk about the experience, we tasted it.
The next day, something long-awaited happened: the Pixel team — Meso Foundation’s creative agency, serving Redmond as its main client — finally met Redmond in person. After so many virtual connections, finally being in the same space felt truly special — simple, real, and long overdue.
On our final evening, over dinner with our leadership team, we reflected on what we saw, what we learned, and what we carried home.
For us, this was more than just a visit — it was an opportunity to connect over common values and to celebrate the achievements we accomplished together.

Luis Enrique Sian
(Colegio Mesoamericano’s Head of Academics)
Meet Luis, our new Academic Director at Colegio Mesoamericano. He brings a thoughtful mix of structure, curiosity, and care to our academic programs.
For him, the best part of the job is the school’s culture: “It’s an environment that constantly fosters growth and collaboration — that’s the greatest treasure.”
Outside of school, you’ll find him enjoying family outings, trying new foods, or getting lost in a good book — the little things that help him recharge.
And what keeps him going, even on the toughest days? “The team. Their commitment turns every challenge into a learning moment.”
