Caring for Our Students’ Smiles and Sight

On February 23rd, we held a special dental and vision health day for our students. Fundación Ariden conducted dental checkups to assess oral health and plan future treatments. At the same time, Ventanitas de Luz from Visualiza conducted vision screenings for all scholarship students, identifying 17 students in need of glasses and soon the glasses will be delivered. These initiatives help our students not only learn, but thrive in good health.

On February 23, we hosted a special teacher training focused on strengthening our team’s professional skills. This training enhanced teaching strategies and ensured that our students continue to receive high-quality education.

Meet Mariana, a True Example of Dedication and Growth

More than twenty years ago, Mariana walked into Meso School as a first-grade teacher, carrying books, patience, and a deep belief in the power of educación.  Over the years, she helped 336 children take the steps into the world of reading and writing. Watching shy students gain confidence and curious minds begin to dream. But her journey did not stop there.  Driven by her desire to understand and support her students more deeply, Mariana pursued her degree in psychology. Today she is part of our Psychologist Team, continuing to walk alongside students, now guiding them not only academically but emotionally, teaching them the value of discipline, dedication, and self-awareness.

That feeling of warmth isn’t created by accident. It’s shaped every day by the people who work behind the scenes to make it possible.

Every corner of our campus tells a story, and it’s their hands that help write it. From painting bright walls to keeping playgrounds safe and clean, their dedication ensures that every student can explore, learn, play, and grow in a safe, welcoming space.

Often unseen, their impact is everywhere: in the laughter echoing across the playground, in classrooms ready for teachers to inspire, and in the respect our community shows for shared spaces. This month, we want to recognize this team, and say “Thank you” for their constant effort and dedication.
